THEFT IN THE SHADOWS, 3min.
Directed by Anna Oleksandrivna Kovalchuk
“Theft in the Shadows”- is an animated film created using a frame-by-frame drawing technique that combines traditional methods with modern computer animation. The plot focuses on the mysterious disappearance of the “Mona Lisa” paintings, from an exhibition four hours before its opening. The curator is faced with a mystery: how did the theft happen despite efficient security systems?

In the underwater cycle of life and death exists a creature whose nature is at odds with it. Its departure from the natural order becomes a gateway to salvation for another, but the guardian allows only one of them to escape their fate.

Paulina (35 years old) is out on parole after serving a prison sentence for the murder of her husband Andrzej. She returns to her hometown to meet her 11-year-old son Nikodem. Jadwiga (55 years old), Paulina’s mother-in-law who takes care of Nikodem, does not want this meeting to take place. She is still grieving the loss of her son, Andrzej, and is unable to forgive Paulina for what she did.



BROKEN MAGIC, 14min., Relationships

Magda and Szczepan are going through a difficult phase in their relationship. When Magda says that their relationship lacks magic, Szczepan decides to surprise her by hiring a magician for their anniversary dinner. However, this joke doesn’t go as planned.

Shy Peter buys a gift to win the heart of his dream girl. But before he dares to confess his feelings, he must dive deep into his own psyche — a surreal rabbit hole — and undergo an absurd masculinity training under the watchful eye of the mysterious ‘Rabbit.



ANANIAS, 17min., Mystery

Nora and her son Ananias, who has Down syndrome, share a house full of clutter and secrets. One day, Ananias discovers a disturbing photograph of his mother and him as a child with a stranger. Intrigued, he begins to ask questions, but Nora, who has hidden the image and her past for years, avoids discussing it. This triggers a confrontation that reveals painful wounds from her past.

Ala, a young girl struggling with a devastating illness, finds solace in painting and in the support of her boyfriend, Maciek. Despite the pain and daily hardships, the couple does not lose hope and plans a future together, dreaming of a trip to Venice.
